Conclusive triumph of Orban

The ruling Fides party of Viktor Orban won half of the vote, and will have 134 out of the 199 seats in Parliament. In the second place come the right-wing party Jobik, that won about 20% of votes or 27 seats in Parliament. The leaders of the Hungarian opposition parties, who passed the census and entered the Parliament, resigned last night after the first results of the parliamentary elections were announced.
“We won, we have secured a historic victory and have created an opportunity to protect Hungary. Hungary is not yet where we want it to be, but we are on our chosen path. We will go that path together” – Orban said.
